DBT skill building: DBT Skills Training groups are for clients who would like to cope more effectively, emotional regulation, addictive/maladaptive behaviors, and/or relational challenges. DBT Skills are taught to reduce undesirable behaviors through harm reduction, and learn more positive ways to manage emotional spikes. These skills include: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance. The DBT Skills Group Process DBT is a skills/teaching group, not a processing group.
