About
I offer 30+ years of experience and expertise in providing culturally-informed psychotherapy, and counseling for diverse groups of clients, especially Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. Expected results from therapy include improved understanding of self, and others, and the ability to better cope with, and effectively problem-solve, or work through presenting concerns.
Help is provided using multi- and cross-culturally informed, cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, family systems, psychosocial / developmental, supportive, narrative, and interpersonal counseling interventions. I am especially interested, skilled, and experienced in working with African American males.
Clients tend to describe me as genuine, skilled, empathic, patient, accepting, open-minded, well-rounded, culturally & racially aware, and supportive.
