My pronouns are they/them and I love helping queer people including exploring Gender Identity, Sexuality, and processing Religious & Complex Trauma. I also write letters of support for medical gender-affirming care, including HRT and surgeries. I have a strong background in intersectional feminism and social justice. I recognize social oppression can't be healed with therapy alone and it is really hard to exist right now! I have lived experience navigating our society as a visibly trans /queer /lesbian and neurodivergent (AuDHD/C-PTSD) individual living in Northern Michigan.
Clients continue to confirm that having a therapist who understands their perspective as a queer person has made a huge difference in their therapy experience. I have experience assessing and providing support for Anxiety, Depression, C-PTSD, OCD, Autism, and ADHD. My modalities include IFS, DBT, ACT, TF-CBT, and Somatic therapy.
During our initial sessions, we will discuss what you want to gain from therapy and collaborate as a team to create realistic goals. Some clients prefer talk therapy while others need more structure. I am gently honest and I will never BS you. Therapy is a space to feel emotions that do not feel comfortable and I am here to help you hold them.
