About
I’m excited about us getting to feel more whole. We’re not helping ourselves, or the earth, or the people we’re in community with if we’re shutting down and killing parts of ourselves. We learn quite early to value some and shut down other parts of ourselves, and the oppressive, dominating, greed-driven forces of our world traumatize us so that we can no longer access vital parts of ourselves. And its messed up that it’s even our job to take care of ourselves in the first place - that we have to heal from things that aren't even our fault. But we do, or at least, we can. I enter as a compassionate guide to walk that path with you.
I'm here to witness, guide, and make space for you to feel and nurture all parts of you, and hopefully experience more of your own agency and authenticity. I offer explorations that can both help heal from trauma and bring you home to yourself, by working together to welcome parts of yourself and feelings that have not had the space to exist freely.
I work with adults, teens, partners, and families including people of all gender identities and sexual orientations, and am body, sex and sex work positive. As with any relationship, it may be helpful to try out meeting to see how it feels being in contact with one another. If you'd like to share a free introductory phone call, please feel free to reach out.

Ryn Mulhern Benefield's Groups
Anti-Racist White Process Group
My colleague, Jennie Beuhler, and I are excited to offer an Anti-Racist White Process Group through the Integral Counseling Center at Church Street beginning on January 7, 2021. This group is for self-identified white California residents who want to increase awareness of and work through some of the emotional experiences that can come up and get in the way of our ability to stay engaged and fully present during interactions across race and privilege. All fees collected will be split between a donation to The Okra Project and payment for consultation with Natalie Bell, LMFT.
