I'm a counseling psychologist with training/experience in VA settings, college counseling centers, and now in my private practice. People seek therapy for various reasons. We often think in terms of reducing symptoms, and that can be helpful at times, as it helps make sense of what is happening. I also like to look deeper than that, as it sometimes does not serve us well. I aim to help individuals examine and relate to that inner landscape in a way consistent with their values, have different emotional experiences that foster connection, and help clients build a life worth living.
To that end, I have an interest in working with people experiencing relationship & intimacy issues, depression & mood disorders, anxiety, trauma (both complex and acute), life transitions, and existential issues.
