Hello, I'm not accepting new clients right now, but hope to have some morning openings in January of 2024.. If you are interested in counseling, that's great! I work in the Sunnyland Neighborhood of Bellingham Washington. Some of the features of my practice? I work for myself (no boss?), I return calls, and I truly care about the people I work with. About me? I have ADHD, I'm a nerd, a Dad, an athlete, socially awkward, and I love Wes Anderson movies and Star Wars. I specialize treating trauma, anxiety, and panic. Expect some talking, some (EMDR) tapping, polyvagal exercises, jokes, and active banishment of negative self talk.
Let's start with tapping to drum in relaxation techniques. Let go of the stress and tension in your neck and shoulders. What helps with the butterflies in the stomach? Let go of the stress. Imagine a place where you feel peaceful and calm. Then, we can get to the root of the worry.
If you have never tried counseling I invite you to give it a shot. If you have tried counseling before and are looking for a different approach, I invite you to reach out. I shy away from traditional "talk therapy" and take a symptom/cause/cure approach. I hope to meet you soon!
