Hello! My name is Ryan Suhr and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington, a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner in Nebraska, and a Licensed Professional Counselor. For the past 19 years, I have utilized an approach that incorporates existential, cognitive behavioral humanistic, and developmental strategies to the resolution of situational, personal, and relational challenges. I believe the discharge planning begins on the first session and hope to invite clients to consider how we will know when we’ve completed the work that needs to be done.
While concerns discussed in therapy are inherently complex and serious. I tried to facilitate an atmosphere that allows for a sense of humor about the human condition. My hope is that people with whom I’m allowed to work feel safe and supported while being challenged to consider different ways of being in the world.
