Finding the right “fit” in a therapist can be one of the hardest, and most rewarding, steps in our mental health journeys. I love working with clients who take this step seriously. It tells me they value their healing and growth and they understand how important the relationship at the heart of therapy can be. I'm a dad of two kids and a former Division I athlete. I prioritize honesty, connection, authenticity, compassion, humor, and courage in my work. I connect best with clients who: hold similar priorities, want a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, and want greater connection, liberation, and joy.
I'm a licensed psychologist and sport psychologist. Outside my private practice, I'm the lead sport psychologist at Loyola University Maryland, where I work closely with our Division I athletes/teams. And my work extends beyond sport. I also specialize in depression, anxiety, men's issues, relationships, grief/loss, trauma, and identity-related concerns.
If you're interested in whether we're a good fit for working together, please email/call to set up a free 15min chat. My approach is rooted largely in Relational Cultural Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), interpersonal, feminist, and mindfulness-based frameworks. My work is trauma informed, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, and racial justice driven.
