I’m a dad of two kids and former D1 college athlete. I’m also a licensed psychologist and sport psychologist. Most of the people I work with have a sense of "stuckness" or disconnection in their lives. Disconnection within themselves. Disconnection in relationships, identities, or roles. Outwardly, it might show up as irritability, anxiety, depression, conflict, grief, trauma, struggling as an athlete/coach/leader...but the common thread is often a deep, hard-to-describe, feeling of disconnect. Of misalignment. My work is all about mending disconnection. I prioritize honesty, compassion, humor, curiosity, and courage in this work.
Finding the right therapist “fit” can be a difficult (but rewarding) step. How do we know whether to trust a stranger – even a "professional" one – to support and challenge us in the ways we need? I don't view this as a single decision, but instead, a relational process…one we'll openly discuss and revisit even after we start working together.
If you're interested in the possibility of working together, please email/call (with days/times you have available) for a free 15min chat. My approach is informed by Relational Cultural Therapy, Interpersonal Process, feminist, psychodynamic, IFS, and mindfulness-based frameworks. My work is trauma informed, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, and racial justice driven.

While outcomes vary, my clients often describe feeling more authentic, emotionally regulated, and connected to themselves and others after only a few weeks or months working together. If they don't see benefits, we discuss what needs adjusting or whether another therapist would be a better fit. My priority is meeting your needs while openly and collaboratively discussing expectations and outcomes.

My work is primarily guided by Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), interpersonal, feminist, and mindfulness-based approaches. Research shows the therapeutic relationship is a primary driver of healing and growth. So I often discuss with clients how our evolving connection is helping or hindering our work.
