Positive mental health is a right for all, critical to managing daily life, and necessary to realize one's full potential and authentic self. Although life can saddle us with trauma and extreme stress, counseling gives us the tools and support to understand the roots of our stress and develop through it. Therapy promotes and emphasizes wellness, empowerment, and growth. It's a powerful way to explore and optimize our holistic wellbeing. Contacting a professional for therapy can feel intimidating. However, seeking counseling early on can help deescalate issues and equip us with tools to manage and prevent future issues.
I worked as a creative in advertising and commercial film production for 23 years before transitioning to mental health counseling. My own healing journey through anxiety and ADHD helped me embrace my resilience, develop effective tools, and find hope during times of deep discomfort. I chose counseling to support others on their paths to a better life.
I'm an LGBTQIA+ affirming licensed drug and alcohol therapist with a master's in clinical mental health counseling. I practice multicultural awareness and utilize trauma-informed approaches (Accelerated Resolution Therapy, CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapies).
