Transgender/Gender Identity Support Group
Transgender/Gender Identity Adolescent/Teen Therapy Group Ryan Lynch, LCSW is the facilitator of our Transgender/Sexual Identity Group for Teens. This group meets weekly and clients are placed in groups by age. In this group we will talk about the process of identifying gender identity and the family’s response to this process as well as society’s prejudice and projection onto kids who are in this process. Support Group for Parents of LGTBQ+ teens
Parents of LGBTQ+ teens often struggle to deal with the change, shock, fears, confusion and possible loss associated with their child coming out or transitioning. It is essential for parents to handle the child’s transition in a way that is affirming for their child. The goal is to protect the relationship with your child. The feelings around this process for the parents can be shared with a professional and/or a group of parents who are experiencing a similar process.
