I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I have been a mental health professional for three and a half years, providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and coaching counseling to clients in need of a little assistance. Having worked in different clinical settings, such as the Florida Department of Corrections as well as working in higher education with college students, I have been afforded the opportunity to work with a diverse client base.
I enjoy helping clients find new and helpful perspectives to their thoughts, as well as helping them to restructure or rewrite their life stories. Thoughts often influence behaviors, so discovering more helpful thoughts and beliefs can impact how a client acts in their day-to-day lives.
Goal setting is a collaborative endeavor. I actively listen to clients' concerns and discover what they would like to improve or change. Ultimately, it is the client's decision what goals they would like to set for themselves and why. Once goals are set, we discuss how each goal can be attained.
