Human suffering can take many forms: loneliness, despair, addiction, trauma, low self-esteem, or questions of identity and belonging. The solution to psychological pain also needs to be human—depth work with someone that allows the space and time to help you uncover what lies beneath symptoms and understand the forces shaping your life. With nearly three decades of experience and advanced clinical and psychoanalytic training at NYU and Columbia Universities, I offer insight-oriented therapy that creates the possibility living a more full, authentic, and creative life.
Much of my work focuses on identity, belonging, self-worth, and the impact of trauma. A central part of this has been with gay men, whose experiences of shame, recognition, and resilience have shaped my understanding of how therapy can create a space to be seen, understood, and transformed.
There are different paths through suffering. For some, it is the steady work of insight-oriented psychotherapy; for others, ketamine-assisted treatment can help open what has felt closed. If you are searching for a deeper way forward, I invite you to reach out and begin that exploration.
