Howdy! My name is Ryan and I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Supervisor, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, & Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor working in North Texas. One of the mantras I live by is "we can't do better if we don't know better." I say this as I involve psychoeducation in all of my work with clients and view therapy as a learning experience. I value honesty in the therapeutic relationship and don't shy away from challenging clients to foster growth within themselves and their relationships. I have extensive experience working with co-occurring psychiatric & substance use disorders, criminal justice cases, and high-conflict families & couples. I have also worked in both inpatient & outpatient settings and focus on treating the entire family in my client-centered approach. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, couples, and families.
The most extraordinary changes I've experienced in my own life could not have occurred if I hadn't felt challenged to explore myself more and get out of my comfort zone.
