Hello, my name is Ruthie Jacques I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a strong background in working with individuals, couples, and families struggling with a wealth of issues. I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I am simply a qualified friend who walks you through a myriad of issues. There is no such thing as an expert! I am here to help. I have been in the field for many years and have a wealth of experience and comfort working with family conflict, couple's issues, addiction, adolescents, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy is based on individual needs in an open non-judgmental stance. I believe in having a wealth of tools and treatment modalities to best serve your needs. I am instinctual and real. I do not follow scripts
I started my career as an educator. I became so wrapped up in the issues which were affecting my student's behaviors or performance that I placed math and science on the back burner. Eventually, my classroom became a talk therapy class for "at-risk" youths. Before long parenting/family sessions were added to the mix. I stumbled upon my calling!
