Because our experiences are so often invalidated or trivialized, my therapeutic style is to collaborate with you to find and support your wisdom. Examining beliefs and patterns frees you up to create new possibilities, make new choices, and become more skillful in reflecting your best interests and intentions. People come to me seeking change -- to relieve depression or anxiety, to ease a difficult transition, for support with family or relationship troubles, to become more skillful with others and to bring their lives closer to their ideals.
I work with adults and adolescents, with individuals, couples, and families. With you as an expert on your life and me as an expert on change, we team up together to turn your life towards hope and growth. Together we design a therapy that best fits your style.
Sometimes therapy uses a lot of problem-solving, sometimes a lot of humor. Sometimes it involves telling your story in a way that helps you take a new role you haven't taken before. Sometimes all you need is a caring presence to listen to you fully and without judgment.
