About
*Check class offerings, no new pts* People come to psychotherapy because they are uncomfortable. As a psychologist, my approach is collaborative and supportive, encouraging movement towards greater health, happiness, and ease in life. Often this requires both self-acceptance and the development of skills and resources to change in desired directions. I have an integrative approach that draws on several theoretical models to meet the unique needs and interests of each person, emphasizing mindfulness. My specialties include relationship issues, health and behavioral psychology, substance abuse, trauma, anxiety and mood regulation.
I particularly love the classes that I teach in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction & Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy for Depression & Anxiety. These 8-week classes are very powerful and participants often find them transformative in reducing suffering.
My website provides more information about me, the classes I teach, my philosophy of practice, and why I don't work with insurance and instead rely on a sliding scale to make working with me accessible.
