It's hard to be a person, and therapy can be a remarkable resource. I work with folks that want to feel less anxiety, want to feel more authentic and secure in their sense of self, and/or want to understand and change the way that they connect with others in their work or personal lives. I frequently work with clients in the queer community, new (or new-ish) parents, and folks grappling with perfectionism, complex trauma, and the challenges of big and small life transitions.
I'm a warm and straightforward therapist. I use a relationally-grounded approach, which means that the relationship between myself and my clients is a critical component of my work. I like to use feminist and queer theory to gently challenge and acknowledge how our contexts shape us and impact our mental health.
Therapy can be interesting, uncomfortable, funny, creative, and strange. Therapy is a place where you can say things out loud you might never have said before. I feel lucky to get to be part of the process with you, and I work to make it as safe as possible. If you think I'd be a good fit for what you're looking for in a therapist, please reach out!
