I am a licensed psychologist with over twenty years of experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. I incorporate my training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy to assist my clients in reducing symptoms and increasing insight and self-awareness. I have specialties in pre-and post-partum mood disorders/infertility, eating disorders, women's issues, depression and anxiety disorders. I am also Intensively trained in DBT.
I am interested in the Mind-Body connection and use Mindfulness training to assist clients in stress management. I also specialize in working with women as they navigate the waters of pregnancy/parenting and maintaining their identity and sense of self. I love working with college students as they move from dependence to independence.
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology received from Adelphi University in New York in 1996. Completed Post-Doctoral Fellowship at St. Mary's Medical Center, McAuley Institute, San Francisco, 1996-1997. Completed Pre-Doctoral Internship at Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Harvard Medical School Training Center, Boston, in 1991-1992.
