My basic approach to counseling is client-centered, and I use techniques from play therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and cognitive based theories. I have especially enjoyed working with children, new mothers, older women, couples and families. Grief, transitions, spiritual growth, and church hurt are also areas of special interest. I also have experience with adolescents, anxiety, depression, and boundary identification.
