About
Finding the right therapist is important. I have been practicing for over 35 years. Experience has taught me what works. My approach is flexible, down to earth and free of trend-driven techniques. Working with a non-judgmental therapist who understands you is essential, especially If you have concerns regarding sexuality. I am also a gender specialist who supportively assists transgender adults, adolescents, and their parents. Other specialties include interpersonal relationship issues, compulsive behavior, depression, anxiety, and grief/loss. I work well with people who value a confidential, personalized, and integrative approach.
I believe that psychotherapy is still the best way to solve life's problems, whether they are sexual, relational, or behavioral. My approach is pragmatic, tailored to your unique experience and situation. Transgender clients seeking gender confirming assessment and counseling can expect a safe space, and respectful, non-pathologizing, collaborative care.
Adult transgender clients will not be subjected to excessive gatekeeping. I am not an in-network provider, but I will work with your out of network benefits. This is the best way I can protect your privacy. Those without insurance reimbursement can expect a reduced fee. I believe therapy works best when a high standard of confidentiality is met.
