Realizing help is needed and then asking for it takes lot of courage. Our already chaotic world has become more so during these crazy, turbulent times, but thankfully relief is available from the comfort of home. As I have lived abroad, I believe I view the world through a diverse lens and recovering from some chronic conditions has allowed me to have a greater appreciation of living in today. Though these perspectives, I’m able to offer coping strategies and skills to assist others as they navigate through their daily struggles and use their strengths to work toward self-fulfillment and their authentic self.
For the last twenty years I have worked primarily with folks with substance use issues. Often other obstacles such as anxiety, depression, guilt and shame are present as well as legal, relationship, employment and other health problems. The cause of the pain, often unresolved trauma, which is sometimes unrecognized, needs to be addressed to improve outcomes.
My goal is to provide safe, judgement free, and compassionate energy and space in which we can work toward your established treatment goals. I have probably helped many other clients with similar work and it's likely that I have personally experienced some similar pain.
