Humans are messy! We strive for ephemeral qualities like “happiness” or “success” and often get lost in others’ expectations of what those words mean to us as individuals. Whether through past trauma or hard life experience, we drift further from what gives our life meaning, purpose, and fulfillment. This can leave us with a litany of painful unanswered questions. What is wrong with me? Why do I feel so out of place, unloved, or unsuccessful? Why do I feel so afraid? Why do I feel like I have no control over my life? While these questions are difficult to bear, they are also powerful signals beckoning us toward meaningful change.
I take a person-centered approach to help individuals share openly, deeply examine their thoughts and feelings, build self-confidence, and increase their resilience against the inevitable difficulties that life presents. For my clients, this often means changing how they relate to themselves in a kinder, more playful way.
I have experience working with trauma (developmental and acute), anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family dynamics and self-destructive habits. I work with individuals of all ages, starting from 13, but my focus is on younger people aged 14-26.
