About

I’m passionate about working with adults, teens, and couples who have experienced trauma, depression, life transitions, compulsive sexuality, and men’s issues. Through my training and experience, I use EMDR, Brainspotting, part’s work, mindfulness, attachment work, and other evidence based approaches in my practice. Each approach is used to process difficult experiences and develop skills to handle life’s challenges and live authentically.
I strive to create an environment where you can rediscover your sense of wellbeing through warmth and acceptance. It takes bravery to reach out and trust someone else with the intimate struggles in our lives, and I’m passionate about offering an environment of understanding to overcome life’s inevitable challenges that feel unmanageable.
Any good therapy is built on a foundation of trust and a strong relationship. At my core, I believe that regardless of who you are, you are worth supporting. I am available in East Nashville and online through video sessions. I would love to connect with you and support you on your journey.

Russell Baxter's Groups

Interpersonal Process Group

Interpersonal Groups are unstructured and process oriented. They are particularly useful for individuals who face relationship issues. In process groups, 4 to 10 individuals meet face to face to learn about themselves, gain skills to use outside of therapy, give and receive support, and learn to get our relational needs met. These groups are founded on trust, mutual support, and understanding. Process groups can be a valuable source to understanding ourselves and changing unhelpful patterns in relationships.
