We specialize in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). EAP invites engagement, is experiential, decreases defensiveness and lowers the pressures that can make going to therapy difficult or daunting. Kim Ibarra is also trained in EMDR with/without horses, a specific trauma therapy, that helps individuals work through the different types of trauma. We have two providers who specialize in utilizing equine assisted psychotherapy. One, Valerie Neck, specializes in working with adults who desire a different approach to therapy for grief, depressions, life transitions, stress, or chronic illness.
Our other provider, Kim Ibarra, specializes in treatment with teens, young adults, and their families, as they work through concerns like trauma, depression, and anxiety. We focus on client led therapy interventions that break down the barriers talk-therapy often poses for youth and adults, including engagement, trust, and buy-in to the therapeutic process.
We are so excited to assist you and your family in finding healing, and will tailor your treatment plan specifically to what you need to feel confident and empowered. Please feel free to reach out and schedule a free consultation with me to see if either one of our providers is a good fit for helping you on your healing journey.
