I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology from Lake Forest College. I’ve always been curious about other people’s points of view and enjoy learning about the qualities and experiences that make each individual unique. My previous experience includes working with clients in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, and homes. I feel privileged to share in the journeys of many people as they work toward wellness, learning to manage mental illness, difficult relationships, or other life events.
I believe that feeling heard and understood is an essential component of effective treatment and helps determine which approaches best suit an individual or family. I see change as coming from maximizing strengths and increasing the ability to see beyond what feels limiting. limiting.
I work with children as young as age 6, as well as families and individuals dealing with learning and cognitive differences, chronic mental health conditions, depression, anxiety, and more. I utilize mindfulness, CBT, psychoeducation, and experiential strategies to help clients make meaningful progress toward their goals.
