I strongly believe that every individual is unique and no person or family is the same as another. As a bi-lingual (Spanish and English) Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I have had the pleasure to work with a diverse group of adults, children, and families. I have over 25 years experience working in psychotherapy, crisis intervention with domestic violence, child court advocate, as a forensic psychologist, and as a family court mediator. I assist children and families as they work through challenges and move toward rebuilding their self-confidence and creates a more positive outlook in life.
I am a strength based therapist and although there are many treatment modalities to address anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions; I have found that in collaboration with clients that a Solution Focused or Cognitive Behavioral approach has helped clients gain the tools to obtain self-awareness and not feel hindered by challenges they have faced.
Working towards acceptance and being open to change is not an easy process, however it is feasible. I believe that there is a reason for everything, and that everyone has a voice that needs to be heard, including that of the child.
