About
I specialize in helping children, adolescents, and adults develop the skills needed to cope with panic, social anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, trauma, depression, and ADHD. I use cognitive behavioral types of interventions, and encourage adults to explore meditative processes in learning to be more responsive and less reactive to stress.
With children, I use child centered and cognitive behavioral play therapy interventions. I draw on my 16 years of experience in a residential treatment center for children with behavior problems, 7 years of coaching youth league baseball, and 40 years of parenting and now grandparenting in helping parents develop firm, loving relationships in their families.
My experience also includes 15 years teaching at Furman University and 14 years teaching family medicine residents. I believe that you will find my office near downtown Greenville, South Carolina an open, pleasant, and safe place to explore your concerns, to experiment with positive change, and to find your way back to thriving again.
