About
Not accepting new clients: I gravitate to "working outside the box" with individuals, groups, couples, and families whose lives have been negatively impacted by trauma. I have focused on women and men who were physically, emotionally or sexually abused as children or individuals traumatized as adults. Treating veterans and/or active duty military personnel who have served in war zones is of special interest to me. I have seen first hand the difficulty so many of them have reintegrating into their families and into civilian life. I find a tremendous amount of fulfillment and joy walking with them on their journey back into life.
Certification from MSU in Treating Combat Veterans with PTS/Moral Injury, (EMDR) eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, guided imagery, mind/body/medicine, esoteric healing, and sound healing. Certified as an Equine Assisted Psychotherapist through (EAGALA) Equine Assisted Growth and Learning and the Equine Gestalt Coach program, Touched by a Horse.
See "A Warriors Journey Home" in groups section. In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I partner with my horses in the healing process. They are extremely spiritual with a natural desire and willingness to heal. Our 35 acre horse farm provides an environment like no other. I am studying Sound Healing through the Academy of Sound Healing.

A Warriors Journey Home: Combat Veterans
A Warriors Journey Home is a unique weekend program designed for combat veterans to address the suicide epidemic among this population and to meet their specific needs. The healing power of horses, meditation, experiential learning and Native American rituals/ceremonies are used to enhance the healing process. It allows veterans to focus on the trauma of war and the moral dilemmas faced when they return home. Veterans will meet with other veterans and bond through the war experience. Each veteran will take their own inner journey to reconnect and reintegrate with themselves, family and society. The experience is life altering.
