My clients present with a variety of mental health concerns and life challenges. I work with individuals who have experienced trauma- experience that surpasses our ability to cope- to help them find safety again in their bodies, environments, and relationships. I see those who have overcome eating disorders who want to unpack the experiences that led to a disordered relationship with food and their bodies. My clients are curious about their family patterns and how these shaped their strengths and survival skills. My clients are interested in identifying, unlearning, and healing from dysfunction in order to live the lives they want.
Relationships can both hurt and heal us. Therapy is a space to practice relationship skills and experience secure attachment. We may not have experienced safety in relationships before. It's possible to rewire our brains to look for and be comfortable in safe connection with others. I offer a trauma-informed approach to care to prioritize individual needs.
On a daily basis, I'm reminded of the vulnerability it takes to seek professional help in a time of need; I celebrate this vulnerability as a sign of strength.
