I specialize in working with youth (& young adults) and families and use talk therapy, as well as Somatic Experiencing and Synergetic Play Therapy, both body-based modalities, to facilitate growth and healing. I also offer the use of art and sandtray to help clients process feelings and experiences that are sometimes beyond words. I seek to validate, support, and draw upon the innate wisdom that children & teens possess to build resources, confidence, and movement toward goals. I hold my clients in the highest regard, and am constantly reminded in my work that young people can be our greatest teachers about ourselves and the world.
I am a Registered Play Therapist and Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, and I hold a Certificate in Creative Arts Therapy. In addition to providing individual therapy for pre-teens and teens, I offer individual parenting support sessions for adults, groups for parents, supervision for play therapists, and equine-assisted therapy for individuals and groups.
In my work with parents, I provide education and tools, but I also draw on the wisdom they already possess to support their children. Parent sessions can be a short-term commitment. In all of my sessions, I encourage self-compassion and I recognize that race, gender, sexual orientation, class, and other identities impact our experiences.

Hudson Valley HorsePlay offers group and family work where clients will interact with horses under the supervision of an equine specialist and mental health provider. Through various interactions and activities done with the horses, clients will learn relationship patterns, gain insight and self-awareness, and build communication skills. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is an experiential modality where clients gain self-awareness and find the tools within themselves to promote healing and change. We can create groups to fit whatever needs clients have. Examples have included girls empowerment groups, family work, couples sessions, and team building events.
