About
A person who has a strong desire to pursue a healthier, happier lifestyle is motivated to make the necessary changes in themselves to achieve that long term goal. Therapy takes the willingness to take a long hard look at oneself to determine one's attributes as well as the aspects of self they would like to improve upon. Growing toward a more fulfilled self takes courage, determination, perseverance and persistence. A person who wants to invest in themselves stays motivated to make the necessary changes. The road to good mental health begins with you.
I have been in the mental health field for 30+ years, beginning as an Executive Director in Tulsa, OK and as a Clinical Director in Tallahassee Florida. I started a private practice in 1995. I feel called to my profession and get great pleasure in helping others to feel whole and balanced.
I have specialized in treatment of depression, anxiety, past traumas, providing EMDR for PTSD and other related anxiety disorders. Approximately half of my practice is providing marital therapy and stabilizing dysfunctional relationships. I help clients understand their own unfinished business that gets in their way to successful living.
