Welcome to Rosebud Therapy! My name is Melissa Sikorsky and I'm a licensed therapist specializing in treatment of First Responder's including police, corrections, firefighter's, EMT, dispatch, nursing and more. I also work with populations outside of this speciality in my practice.
I am licensed in both New Jersey and South Carolina. With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I have developed a therapeutic approach that is both evidence-based and client-centered. My goal is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work towards their goals.
I specialize in working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma and abuse, mood disorders, personality disorders, and general relationship conflicts. Using a combination of EMDR, CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic techniques, I help clients identify their strengths and develop strategies to cope with life's challenges.
My style is warm and empathetic, and I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Each client is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs. I'm committed to helping my clients achieve a better understanding of themselves and their lives, and to supporting them as they work towards greater well-being.
