I work with people facing a wide variety of life challenges including trauma, anxiety, family conflict, adoption issues, parenting challenges, career transition, complicated grief, and addiction recovery. My approach is trauma informed but flexible enough to just provide a good place to untangle life's complications as well. Beyond psychodynamics, I use IFS, EMDR, Sensorimotor, CBT, and mindfulness. I listen to what clients see as most important and use this as a starting point. I provide long or short term therapy according to the needs/interest of each individual. I am licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Vermont.

I am certified in EMDR, IFS Level 1 and Sensorimotor Therapy Level 2. I supervise at the Institute For Contemporary Psychotherapy Trauma Program. My post-grad at the New York School for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy focused on work with recovering alcoholics, my Smith College dissertation focused on 9/11 grief. I'm trained in Prolonged Grief Protocol.

I am a pragmatic therapist and like to see people make progress and feel better in life. My clients range from those in business and law, to artists, writers, and working parents in flux. I also specialize in working with people struggling with complicated grief including loss of a child and bereavement from suicide. About one third of my clients are BIPOC.

This 6-week group is specifically for women who lost their mother prior to age 30. When a woman loses her mother at a young age, it is like losing a life compass. Women typically have complicated relationships with their mothers, yet depend on them for guidance and support for many years. It's an unusual phenomenon since most women live well into mid-life years with their moms. This group will offer support and guidance to those who manage their way through life without a mother's presence. Fee: $60 per group- sliding scale available.

Writing Through Grief - Online- 1x Monthly

There are many ways to make your way through grief. The process requires time and space for reflection, remembering, and navigating the new terrain of life without the deceased loved one. Research shows that writing helps heal grief. We’ll use short in-group assignments to explore and work towards solace and healing. Writings will be private, though sharing is welcomed. Every grief is unique, yet some losses are more treacherous than others. This group is for those who've lost someone dear, whether a beloved family member or a friend. Meets Online 2nd Tuesday Monthly 6-7:30pm.
