So many of us are hanging on by a thread, stuck in survival mode and unable to actually enjoy life. Rather than seeking something external, be it validation, permission, or blame, I help people access the feeling of being right where you need to be, in your body.
Our culture is one of separation, disconnecting you from your body while expecting so much of it. I offer both equine-assisted somatic psychotherapy and virtual somatic psychotherapy to help bridge the gap between thinking and feeling.
Horses teach us about how we relate to others without the stickiness of human stories. Their large bodies invite presence and awareness of our own bodies. Through on-the-ground work (not riding) I'll help you manage anxiety, untangle codependent tendencies, build leadership skills, and find self-compassion.
As a Queer, White/Jewish cis-woman, I hold awareness of my positionality and the need for cultural sensitivity in my practice. I maintain a stance of radical listening and curiosity, recognizing that Western psychology has historically been a source of harm for many communities.
