Beginning therapy can be a daunting enterprise, both emotionally and logistically, but it can also be profoundly rewarding. By providing a safe, supportive, warm and empathic space to explore whatever is on your mind, I believe I am able to help you be more comfortable and fulfilled all while gaining valuable insights along the way. I see people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences; addressing issue like grief counseling, combating anxiety and depression, to developing better communication in romantic partners.
My approach to therapy is psychodynamically oriented and while I believe that therapy should be thoughtful and challenging, it can also be playful. I am deeply interested in the cathartic therapeutic potential of creative expression and artistic engagement and I am eager to incorporate elements of narrative and creative arts therapy into our sessions.
New York is a magical place unlike any other, but it can also be alienating, overwhelming, over-stimulating, competitive and unforgiving. We are rarely afforded the luxury of dedicated time to process it all.
