Dr. Rene’ G. Hood is the CEO of Rooted To Rise. She is a Christian Counselor licensed in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. She is a graduate of Bowie State University where she attained a BA in psychology and a MA in Mental Health Counseling. She has twenty plus years of counseling experiences. She began within the penal system, raised 28 foster children using Reality Therapy, and now specializing in "perinatal, postpartum", depression, alcohol/substance, and anxiety disorders within several community such as, veterans, females, couples, teens, and family.
She also has a BA in Christian Studies and is a licensed minister. Therefore, she offers Christian counseling as one of her modalities. Rene’ is also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor - understanding the need to educate society regarding mental health she has joined with MHFA International and offers group certification training.
She is also certified in Problem Gambling, Telehealth health Provider Training, and a Registered Yoga Instructor. Rene’ commitment is to serve by providing a safe and secure atmosphere which is nonjudgmental and welcoming to your authentic and unique self.
