I find that humans act in patterns. We think about a problem and act in a way that is the most comfortable to us and tend to repeat these patterns regardless of the result. I work with people living with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger concerns, separation/loss/grief issues, and people coping with discrimination.
A therapist since 2002 with experience working with children and adolescents aged 5-18, young adults, and adults. I am trained in EMDR and Trauma-focused CBT. My style is conversational, relationship focused (therapeutic; self; and society). I focus on the whole person and aim to connect old successes with current problems.
I provide trauma informed, culturally sensitive, therapy aimed at improving people’s ability to cope with their stressors. I welcome people of all races, LGBTQ, religions, and cultures.
