About
A sensitive, well-related, board certified Ph.D. psychotherapist/psychoanalyst with a specialization in women"s health/female psychology. I have been in practice for over twenty years and worked with both individuals and couples in a dynamic focused analytic approach for self understanding. With particular expertise in female psychology, I have integrated an insight oriented contemporary analytic perspective with holistic, alternative techniques (guided imagery and dream work) to help patients deal with emotions and childhood trauma often stored in the body.
Providing psychotherapy for both men and women with a variety of problems including depression, anxiety, low self esteem, and more generalized dissatisfaction in life/career/ and relationship difficulties, as well as, with problems in coping with illness (hormonal problems, endometriosis, premenstrual syndrome, menopause, trichotillomania (hair-pulling)and distorted body image
I work from a feminine psychology perspective, and am psychoanalytically trained. I have integrated psychodynamic approaches tailoring treatment to each individual's needs. I have helped many patients gain self awareness, be able to move towards more balance in life and change direction to achieve more success and well being.
