I work with adults to help relieve depression, anxiety, stress, relationship problems, grief, and common challenges associated with life transitions, loss and adjustment My consistent, caring and collaborative approach will help you gain insight and develop a plan and create fulfilling and lasting changes. I specialize in men's issues and co-lead an in-person weekly men's mental health group beginning April, 2023 in Brunswick, ME.
My work is informed by several approaches to therapy, including Interpersonal (developmental and relational patterns), Object Relations (the primary importance of attachment), Family Systems (understanding rules and roles that shaped your development) Cognitive-Behavioral (cognitive restructuring, humor) and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy.
I integrate these approaches, and individualize my treatment based on your needs. Based on my experience and client feedback, I believe that the work you do in therapy often leads to more rewarding relationships, helpful solutions to specific problems, and significant reductions of stress.
