Life and relationships can be rewarding and challenging. The balance can be difficult to achieve. Sometimes we need a place to work through these challenges and difficulties. Counseling can be one of those places but finding a therapist and discovering if that therapist is a 'good fit' offers one more challenge to the process. My hope is to help. I specifically work with relationship issues (individuals, couples, families, and men's issues). I also work with individuals with grief/loss and issues around spirituality/religion.
My basic assumption is that we can experience fulfillment and enjoyment in life and relationships. Finding ourselves and being our best self in life and in relationships is a life goal and the good news is that it is achievable. Sometimes we are 'white knuckling' it through, and while that works, it is also exhausting. Let's add some other ways to manage.
I am seminary trained and consider the spiritual aspect of our life an integral part of our journey, but I know people have been hurt by religion and 'religious people'. I've been there and can help you navigate the scary waters of faith and religion.
