My ideal client is the one who had the courage to reach out for help. Finding a therapist can be confusing, scary, and sometimes overwhelming. Looking at this website shows that you care about yourself enough to want to get better and have the courage to look for it. I hope you find the right therapist for you. I am an eclectic therapist who uses a variety of modalities to create the right type of treatment for you. While I work with many different people with a variety of issues/problems; I am incredibly passionate about working on issues of spirituality/religion and mental health.
I received my Master in Social Work from NYU. Currently I am doing my PhD in Social Work with my dissertation being in the topic of Religion/Spirituality and Mental Health. Additionally, I finished training in motivational interview, mindfulness, CBT, EFT and focusing psychotherapy. I am a certified EMDR therapist and consultant in training.
It’s scary to look for a therapist especially if its your first time; you might ask yourself, "Are my problems really bad enough to see a therapist?". The answer will always be yes, no matter who you are; mental/emotional/spiritual pain is real no matter what. It is time to stop hurting and living life the way you truly want.
