I create a warm, nurturing and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable to be yourself and learn more about who you are, identify what you want, and take steps toward achieving your personal goals. In my work, I use an integrative approach to therapy. This allows me to be flexible in meeting your needs. I believe that many factors influence who we are and how we engage with the world. Our pasts are important and I work collaboratively with you to understand those influences and utilize strategies to help you move toward the life you want to live.
I am a culturally responsive therapist that can address a variety of concerns: adversity, stress, trauma, recovery from pandemics and disasters, grief & loss, cultural conflicts, vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, burnout, struggles in relationships with those having substance abuse problems, personal growth, and managing major life transitions.
I use my expertise in multicultural issues to help clients who are struggling to balance different worlds and help to navigate these competing demands. Clients come to me in need of support with issues related to identity, relationships, culture, acculturation, family and work conflicts.
I supervise a graduate student who offers sliding scale options.
