Aloha! My name is Roger Kaina Watson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) located in Hawaii on the island of Oahu and working with individuals statewide through telehealth. My overall approach to therapy is Client-centered, strength-based, and focused on the needs of the clients. My clientele will focus on men, young adult men, and teen boys who have difficulty with depression, anxiety, behavior, relationships among other challenges.
My approach to therapy will vary based on the needs of the client, so because of that, I will utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities along with cultural components to positive mental health outcomes. Overall, I will start where the client is, build a plan, and set goals together to achieve the outcomes the client is satisfied with.
I create a warm, calm, and positive environment with people. I ensure trust, confidentiality, and honesty to build great rapport. Lastly, my compassion and empathy for my clients ultimately create a willingness to be comfortable to open up to share.
