I enjoy bringing a practical, insightful perspective to helping couples, teens & kids in conflict to help them find solutions. Seeing others' viewpoints is challenging and necessary. My ability to see options helps individuals make better choices in personal situations. A believer in the value of actively-engaging in life, I see a strong need for play for adults and children. In addition to my therapeutic practice, I'm Executive Director at the Family Counseling Center. I oversee the multiple details of running the organization and count the variety involved in my job as an asset.
Having earned my doctorate with special training in child counseling, I particularly enjoy working with children in play therapy. The unstructured focus and meaning-in-action aspects of life intrigues me. In addition, I find working with couples to be enjoyable, presenting the ultimate challenge of balancing between the two, so both are happy.
My own marriage of more than forty years to an intelligent, intriguing woman, and my active, equal role as a father, has provided tremendous insights into the conflicts and rewards in intimate relationships. Connections of the heart make life worthwhile and very interesting.
