Simply put, most of the time individuals coming to therapy know what the problem is, and what needs to be done. The therapy process is about addressing the barriers to doing what you need to do, to have the life you want. Individuals who come to see me are looking to make needed changes in their life, but want assistance achieving it. The barriers can include trauma, beliefs, attitudes, habits, or a myriad of other things that get in the way of change. It's about overcoming the barriers so you can live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
I use an approach that combines both education and therapy process to help individuals trying to live with what are called "passengers on the bus". Those internal voices that get in the way of finding the fulfillment we seek. I offer assistance with learning to relate more effectively to your own internal processes that often get in the way.
