Hello, my name is Rocky Mays and I am currently accepting new clients. I have a sliding scale depending on household income ranging from $80-$130. I offer in-person and virtual appointments in the afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays. I specialize in working with teens, adults, parents, veterans, seniors, and couples on a wide range of identified concerns. I am currently a counselor for the Federal Government. My experiences also include working with youth in the justice system, providing clinical services for treatment centers, and working with veterans and their families struggling with various conditions.
I am passionate about creating and maintaining a positive therapeutic relationship to assist others in reaching their goals. I strongly believe that counseling is providing a safe, non-judgmental space where a person can feel heard and receive the support and encouragement they are seeking.
I would define my therapeutic style as inviting, genuine, understanding and solution focused. I strive to assist my clients in identifying past traumas as well as the thoughts and behaviors that may interfere with their progress toward life goals.
