I have been working with children and adolescents, as well as their families, for over twenty years. I believe that parents want to be the best parents possible but may need help developing the tools to do so. I also think kids want to succeed but don't always know how to do it on their own. I try to make therapy appealing with humor and a down-to-Earth practical approach. In addition to therapy, I also specialize in comprehensive academic evaluations for learning differences and ADHD. With adolescents, often I can say things you've tried saying in a way they can hear it (primarily because I'm not their mother!). I work with children and teens to help them acquire the skills they need to manage whatever life has thrown at them. I also help parents identify ways they can help their kids transition through difficult times in a healthy way.
