I always strive to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and promote an authentic connection with my clients. Life can get difficult and pretty messy, therefore, I believe that we can all benefit from an outside perspective while receiving encouragement and guidance.
Psychotherapy is not easily described in general statements. It depends on the personalities of the client, therapist and the issues being brought into the therapeutic process. During treatment, I choose to use a variety of approaches during sessions such as Cognitive Behavioral, Gestalt, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused and Strength Based.
I have experience in helping children, teens and adults of all ages with issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, communication skills, relationship issues, grief and loss and finding self compassion. Goals for my clients include helping them to discover new ways of thinking, behaving and utilizing coping skills in order for them to grow.
