As an art therapist and clinician, my job is to help guide a client down the pathway of life. Art therapy interventions provide an opening into the conversation and help with the processing of feelings, emotions, and aid with problesolving. Art therapy teaches coping skills, reduces stress, and increases self awareness. The art visual helps the client move towards symptom management, self-empowerment, self awareness, and increased self-esteem.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Board Certified Art Therapist , AIR Network, and Trauma Professional. The treatment approach is art therapy which acts as an umbrella of other approaches. Issues include various types of trauma, anxiety, depression, bi-polar, DID, grief and loss, ADHD, life problems, inability to communicate, life events.
The goal is to help reduce symptoms, problem-solve, increase self-awareness, to move forward and be successful.
