About
Dr. Nemeroff is a licensed psychologist specializing in stress-management, anxiety issues and depression. She is trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, and mind-body approaches to healing, so she is able to be flexible in her approach to working with you and offer you the most effective treatments available. Dr. Nemeroff received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University (1999), her pre-doctoral internship training at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine (1999), and her post-doctoral training at Weil Medical College, Cornell University (2000).
Dr. Nemeroff is a professor at William Paterson University, teaching psychotherapy courses in WPU's Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology, Master's Program in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, and Honors Program in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology. As such, she has expertise in a range of evidence-based psychotherapy techniques that may be helpful to you.
Before joining the faculty of WPU, Dr. Nemeroff was a faculty member at both Columbia University's Medical School and Columbia University's Master's Program in Clinical Psychology. She also worked as a full-time researcher at Columbia University's Medical School. She brings extensive experience and training to her psychotherapy practice.
